A tape measure is a very useful and practical tool for hobby craftsmen and professionals. It is also called a rolling tape measure or rolling meter. You can easily read off distances in mm with a tape measure. In terms of weight, it is very light, so you can easily carry it in your pocket. There are versions with different lengths. Some stop at 2 meters, others are 10 meters long.
Other lengths are also possible. The design and shape also differ significantly depending on the manufacturer . Most roll-up tape measures are semi-circular. The areas of application for this useful tool are extremely varied. When buying furniture, measuring rooms or taking various other precise measurements, you absolutely need a tape measure. After all, you will be extremely annoyed afterwards if the furniture you ordered does not fit into the room or you have miscalculated other important things.
When looking for the right tape measure, the most important thing is where you use it . If you need to use it in a normal household, a normal tape measure will suffice. Whether it’s windows, cupboards, doors, curtains or the diagonal of your new TV, you won’t usually get any nasty surprises.

What are the advantages of roller conveyor dimensions?

If you compare a roll meter or tape measure with other measuring tools, you will notice that the tape measure is more compact, provides a larger measuring range and is significantly smaller. It fits in almost any trouser or jacket pocket. A normal folding rule is at least 22 cm long and usually extends beyond a normal pocket. Rigid measuring instruments such as rulers and folding rulers also have a limited measuring range. Classic school rulers reach up to 30 cm, but in workshops 50-70 cm rulers are common. The maximum length of a conventional ruler is 2 meters. measuring tapes for everyday workshop use range from 2 to 6 meters in length, while measuring tapes for (garden) construction or sporting events range from 20 to 100 meters and more. Only electronic measuring devices such as laser measuring devices provide comparable measuring distances. A simple advantage of measuring tapes over laser measuring devices: The battery is never empty!

How accurate is a tape measure?

A tape measure is more accurate than a metric ruler, but usually not as accurate as a high-quality steel ruler. The accuracy of measuring instruments is defined by their class . In Europe we use accuracy classes according to EC standards, while in Asia JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) is more common. Accuracy classes are usually indicated by oval Roman numerals at the beginning of the tape. Rulers are usually EC class III and most tape measures are assigned to class II. There are also measuring tapes with accuracy class I.
